Claire is born in the ’90s. She was diagnosed with type one diabetes in 2003. She is a lover of dogs, sheeps, and anything that has 4 legs. She finds joy in small things in life and tends to always look on the bright side.
She is Maria Ruano, 28 years old. Maria lives in Alicante, Spain, and studied Medicine in Barcelona. Nowadays she is finishing her medical degree in Allergy while working at the hospital. Maria loves music, traveling, sports, and hanging out with friends and family.
His name is Levi. He lives just outside of Nashville, TN, and was diagnosed with T1D when he was 16 years old. Levi loves competitive sports, fitness, and recently, encouraging and informing others about T1D on his YouTube channel Between Two Lines. As a diabetic, he had some victories and plenty of failures. Levi’s goal is to help others capitalize on some of the things he had success with and avoid a lot of the pitfalls. He finds laughter to be encouraging and in the video, “If Blood Sugar Could Talk”, he dives into a humorous take on life if your blood sugar could speak to you. The Dianurse Team presents Wiesje, a type 1 diabetic. She created earlier in 2019 an Instagram account with a major objective to become part of the diabetes communities, to learn more about diabetes, and to share her lessons learned. Wiesje loves posting about her life with diabetes and interacting with other diabetics spreading kindness and positivity. She considers herself very lucky to have been born in Europe where healthcare is organized relatively well.
