Traveling with diabetes can be a huge struggle for many diabetics. That’s why we decided to ask 22 diabetics to share with you their best tips and guide you on a travel adventure.
Her name is Madelon. She lives in a little village in The Netherlands. Madelon is 27 years old, working in an insurance company. She a step-mother to 3 kids. She loves long walks and relaxing evenings at home.
His name is Levi. He lives just outside of Nashville, TN, and was diagnosed with T1D when he was 16 years old. Levi loves competitive sports, fitness, and recently, encouraging and informing others about T1D on his YouTube channel Between Two Lines. As a diabetic, he had some victories and plenty of failures. Levi’s goal is to help others capitalize on some of the things he had success with and avoid a lot of the pitfalls. He finds laughter to be encouraging and in the video, “If Blood Sugar Could Talk”, he dives into a humorous take on life if your blood sugar could speak to you. Her name is Ashley and she is 31 years old. She is the mother of a 5-year-old boy named Logan. Ashley is a stay at home mom. She is crafty and creative, always doing something. She loves spending time outside with her son and dog. Meditation helps her a lot. She worked as a CAN (Certified Nursing Assistant). Her jobs were connected with type one diabetics and endocrinologist. Ashley is a type one diabetic for 30 years.

The Dianurse Team presents Lee, a 57 old man living in the UK. Lee was a former career professional who had to take early retirement. A few years ago, an accident forced Lee’s diabetes to go out of control. Over the years after this accident, Lee experienced multiple life-threatening episodes. He is currently physically disabled and suffers from mood swings, deep depression, and anxiety. He works hard each day to stay positive and to deal with the daily effects of diabetes.
